Species Information

Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6 - 7; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 4; Vertebrae: 18. Illicium rather short; escal bulb bearing a somewhat flattened anterior appendage with 4 black flattened flaps, and bearing a rather long posterior appendage (Ref. 559).
